Take no chikara (竹の力 – The Power of Bamboo)

This work combines classic elements of Asian ink painting with a deliberate expansion of the expressive space. The vertically placed bamboo stems are reminiscent of the traditional, monochrome sumi-e technique—clear, calm, structured. Yet the deep, vibrant green of the leaves subtly breaks through this usual restraint.

It's a subtle break, almost a contradiction in terms: powerful yet harmonious. The green ink sets accents without dominating—as if it doesn't want to ignore the rules of reduction, but rather think further. A conscious step in a new direction without denying its origins.

"Take no chikara"—the power of bamboo—represents not only resilience and steadfastness, but also the courage to deviate. It represents creative determination that is guided by nature without subordinating itself to it.
