Seijaku no kaze (静寂の風 – Wind of Silence)

“Seijaku no kaze” – wind of silence – describes the tension between powerful calm and moving lightness.


 The silvery bamboo trunks appear broad, strong, and rooted—as if they were even superior to the wind. The leaves, however, dance as if in a gust, all tilted to the right, as if surrendering to an invisible rhythm.


 The movement lies solely in the fine lines, in the details. The trunks stand, they bear, they hold – while the visible changes. The silver ink lends the work a special purity and almost spiritual clarity: steadfastness without harshness, strength without loudness.
