Aozora no Shibuki (青空のしぶき - Splash of Blue Sky)

“Aozora no Shibuki” shows bamboo in cool blue – not frosty, but clear, fresh and invigorating like the first deep breath on a cloudy, cool summer day.

 The different nuances of the watercolor paint are reminiscent of sky, water, and shadow all at once. Delicate clusters of leaves dance as if in the wind above the sturdy, horizontal bamboo poles, which calmly withstand the gentle breeze.

 Translucent areas in the background act like delicate reflections or memories – lending the work an additional depth. The interplay of transparency, structure, and movement creates a tranquil alertness, the kind that arises only in moments of complete presence.
