The first artwork of my Middle Earth series!

This work depicts one of the most powerful wizards in Middle Earth and leader of the Fellowship of the Ring. Until he had to give up his previous existence in the dwarven tunnels of Moria, for now. ;-)

The base and pupil for this artwork is strong Mars Black.

The iris, on the other hand, shines in strong, warm orange and red tones; pleasantly warming and with a good-natured and friendly appearance.

(Anyone familiar with the literature of Middle Earth, by JRR Tolkien, will probably recognize which Elvish person this is exactly. Due to the existing criticisms of others regarding this work and all other possible consequences that naming him by name could entail, I have deliberately refrained from doing so. I hope you will forgive me.)

Thrandriím had no permanent residence or possessions and was constantly on the move, helping wherever help was needed. His mind is described as lively and alert, his character as somewhat quick-tempered, which we also experience here and there in 'The Lord of the Rings'.

His wide gray robe was a good camouflage for the inner fire that he carried within him. Hardly anyone suspected anything of it when they saw the comfortable-looking gray pilgrim who loved to smoke pipeweed.

Thrandriím liked men of simple mind and did not despise them, only foolishness could sometimes irritate him. Nothing he did was for himself, his reputation or his fame, and for this very reason he was loved everywhere by all who were of the same character.
